Nox Talk: servers, text and voice channels, a chat with a video message and the member list

Encryption

The server carries it. It can’t read it.

Messages, files, voice and video are encrypted on your device before they leave it, and decrypted only on the devices of the people you talk to.

  • Chats and files use the Matrix end-to-end protocol (Olm/Megolm).
  • Voice, video and screens are encrypted frame by frame on top of the usual transport encryption — the media server forwards them without the key.
  • Your recovery key stays with you: a new device opens your history only with it.
Honestly: encryption hides content, not the fact of a conversation. The server still sees accounts, rooms, times and sizes. Nox Talk is private, not anonymous.

Screen sharing

Several screens at once. Zoom into any of them.

Show the game and the build log side by side. Viewers pick what to focus on and zoom in to read the small print.

Sharp when it matters

Thumbnails get a light stream; the screen you focus on or zoom into gets full quality.

Easy on the network

Streams you can’t see are paused, so they don’t eat your bandwidth or CPU.

Every monitor

Pick screens from a window with live previews; “Stop” is always one click away.

Voice

Voice channels you just drop into.

Servers, text and voice channels, direct messages — the layout you know, in the calm Nox style.

  • Voice and video channels with push-to-talk for games.
  • Voice keeps going when you close the window.
  • Light and dark themes, English and Russian.

Our own servers

Accounts and chats in Finland, voice in Germany with a backup in the Netherlands, a relay for restricted networks. Built on open Matrix and LiveKit.

Light

About 300 MB of memory with the window open in a call, about 150 MB with it closed.

Everywhere you are

Windows, macOS, Linux and Nox OS — one account on all of them.

By invitation

During the test, accounts are created with an invitation code from a member.
